The Town's original country inn, The Oban Inn is a landmark property that was built as a private home in 1824 by Captain Duncan Milloy of Oban, Scotland. A devastating fire on Christmas Day 1992 completely destroyed the property leaving only the foundation. Recreated as an exact replica of the former Inn , The Oban Inn again opened its doors in November of 1993 proudly welcoming guests back to its grace and understated charm while continuing the tradition of unparalleled hospitality.
In 2005, The Oban Inn underwent a significant transformation. Now, with its 26 tranquil, luxurious guest rooms, elegant dining surrounded by delightful ponds and lush English gardens, and the creation of the beautiful new OSpa, the Inn has become a celebrated wellness retreat. OSpa - a unique facility dedicated to the health, well-being and vitality of our guests…soothing and personalized, the philosophy and décor are in harmony with each other, forming a peaceful mood of Sun, Moon, Earth and Water. Chef de Luca is widely regarded as a pioneer of regional wine country cuisine. Previously, as founding executive Chef at Hillebrand Winery Restaurant, Tony was instrumental in establishing their reputation of success and excellence in the winery restaurant industry. He is the only regional chef to earn the prestigious 4 star Rating from Toronto Life Restaurant Guide (only 11 other restaurants in all of Ontario share the same!)
At Restaurant Tony de Luca, Chef Tony continues to draw on his considerable network of local producers to craft a cuisine that celebrates the integrity of Niagara and Canadian products.
